A young man, [Prince E.A Adeyanju] after living in the United States for few years, came back to Nigeria hoping that things have improved for good, little did I know that much still needed to be done; I set out on a search to buy camcorder stand, I went to Ogunpa, Dugbe and some other places in Ibadan Oyo States.

I went to shops and super marts, yet, I couldn’t get what I was looking for. And for good three hours, I was still searching, until I met a young man who directed me to where I could find one, yet the effort yielded no result. This embarrassing situation prompted me an insight on “what I could do for my country and not what my country would do for me” JOHN F. KENNEDY.

I decided to establish a business that will connect other businesses, Called National Greenpages “Where Business Finds Businesses” just like the United States’ Yellow Pages, Map Quest, Microsoft map and directions etc. Had it been that directories like Green pages existed, I couldn’t have suffered the way I did on that unpleasant hot noon.

Nigerian graduates also suffer same fate today. You see them in assemblies every Tuesdays and Thursdays, browsing through the pages of national dailies, looking for vacancies ads. Had it been that a medium like Greenpages exists; things would have perhaps been different.

DEDICATION

 This book is dedicated to God Almighty, who is the source and sole initiator of this noble vision called “Greenpages” and to all visionaries both alive and deceased who dedicated their lives towards enriching man through their God given talents and ideas. And to my “Queen” my beautiful wife who has been a source of encouragement while compiling this book together, also to all Associates of Phemmadeb & Greenpages Inc.

First, I hereby express my heart- felt appreciation to my beloved wife Mrs. M.Oluwakemi Adeyanju, whose labour in making of this book cannot be quantified. Her belief in this project is encouraging and outstanding. She has stood by me from inception of this project till date she is indeed a great companion.

I also appreciate the efforts of Mr. Adewale Adeniran, Mr. T A Aderinto and Alhaji R.A Akintayo "former Chairman Oluyole LG".  I want to tell you all that your efforts in making this book into reality cannot be measured. I will also like to commend the efforts of Dr. E A Oyeleye "National Coordinator", Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige “Executive Chairman Ibadan South East LG Mapo” who commissioned our office in Ibadan and Prince Yomi Otukoya "Production Editor" who designed Greenpages logo and Mr. Tunde Olowu.  Many other people I am indebted to as regards the production of the GREENPAGES, Please, pardon me because space does not permit me to say it all. My loves for you all remain the same.

In conclusion, I will not fail to give God the glory for giving me this noble vision, for disgracing the kingdom of darkness upon me and my family, for giving me strength and gift of life.

I wish to say it here that the next edition would no doubt be an improved release and if you are not enlisted in this issue; you should fasten up your belt to join the next edition.

However, I congratulate the Lagosians who are earnestly expecting the Lagos edition of National Greenpages Business Directory….the first State by State Nigeria business encyclopedia.
